Motul Tekma Mega X 15W-40 is a heavy-duty mineral engine oil formulated for large diesel engines — trucks, buses, construction equipment, farm machinery, stationary engines, etc. It’s built to handle stringent operational conditions: high loads, high temperatures, and soot from diesel combustion. The viscosity grade 15W-40 ensures reliable protection in warmer climates and under heavy engine stress, while still offering enough fluidity at lower temperatures typical in non‐extreme winters. Its OEM approvals (like MB 228.3, Volvo VDS-3, Renault RLD-2, Cummins, etc.) mean it meets many manufacturers’ specifications for performance and durability. It’s a good choice for a mixed fleet: older engines needing a tougher grade, and newer ones that can run on 15W-40. Because it’s mineral, it will likely be more affordable than synthetics or semi-synthetics, though with trade-offs (possibly shorter drain intervals, more soot handling, etc.).
